My Story
The passion and love for Latin cuisine was instilled by my parents, my curiosity and interest to learn how to cook began at a very young age. My mother would share her cooking techniques of the great food she prepared for our family. I was taught to cook authentic Latin food using the best natural, healthy, flavorful and aromatic products to season and prepare our food. I learned early on that Sofrito was the base for most dishes (i.e. soups, beans, stews, rice, etc.). I also learned, fresh Garlic marinade was the main ingredient for poultry, meats, fish, etc.
I was blessed with parents who loved cooking for the family and friends, when you would visit our home you were guaranteed to leave feeling mighty full and happy. My father had an entrepreneurial spirit and decided to open a restaurant and quickly grew a loyal customer base who would line up for his famous pork, steak sandwiches and delicious Latin dishes. As for my mother, she continued to prepare lunches for me as an adult to take to work, and my colleagues would smell my wonderful food, at times I would have them taste as I didn't have enough for everyone. My colleagues urged me to have my mom cook lunch for them, she agreed and prepared the meal for the entire team whom she didn't even know, she did it for me. They were so excited and sent a car service to pick me up with the food, thanks to my mom they enjoyed a wonderful Latin meal, I had no idea it would be one of the last meals she would prepare. My parents are no longer with me, but are in my heart and soul, I definitely inherited their enthusiasm, and love of cooking. Gracias mami y papi
I have been cooking and sharing recipes with friends of many diverse backgrounds who have been delighted to experience creating flavorful meals with my Sofrito and Garlic Marinade. Due to the demand for my products and food, I've held cooking classes, a wonderful experience to share authentic traditional dishes and techniques. I'm excited and looking forward to sharing my wonderful products with everyone interested in exploring and learning to prepare our wonderful cuisine.
